Here's my project that I'm going to try to use Xith for. A bit ambitious, I know, but I know Java quite a bit better than I know Xith, so...anyway. Exodus Online will be an MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) set in the far future. I will be using Java, Xith, and Inno Setup Installer (so far). The website, which is my profile's web site, is currently under construction, by friend's working on it. It will use HTML, PHP, and perhaps JavaServerPages. I have a ton of idea work completed, but only a moderate amount of programming. Here's a screenshot of the title page: http://www.geocities.com/cccmkenpo/exodus.png

I love space games! Is this going to be a warfare-trading-strategy game or really a MMORG in the old school sense? Hows your status on the project? Can I play an alpha release already? Johannes

Well, The graphics are a big problem, that's why I came to Xith in the first place. I'm currently trying to get models and loaders working, and as soon as I do, I can practically sail throught most of the coding - I have about 50 pages of written work ready to be copied into the game, as soon as graphics will start working . I can at ver. 0.0.1 currently. The title screen is actually to the point where it might be kept for the first few versions, but the interface is horrendous, and I'll probably switch over to Xith's HUD in the next release - The first version was done with Java3D. In about 2 months, our (by which I mean mine and my co-developer's) site should be up, www.exodusonline.com. Maybe I'll post more later...

Hehe, yeah.
But isnt it strange what kind of domains these domain-grabbers register?

That's a thought...I'll tell my co-developer, who is in charge of web dev (I'm the programmer), to hurry up with the site . He's pretty good with CSS and PHP and so on...

That's another thought...I think he may have already bought it (but if so, why did Patheros find it for sale?). I'll have to check.

I believe Exodus has another meaning which is why this domain might be already registered. I am not very (at all) fluent in Latin, but I guess that there is a word Exeous in Latin which may be the word for 'exit' or some sort of portal to hell or whatever Latin words are all about.
However, Maybe exodusthegame.com or exodus-the-game.com are sensible alternatives.

Yes, "Exodus" (like the Bible's Book of Exodus) means "great exit" or "mass exit", which co-incides with the storyline of the game (sorry, no sneak peeks ).
