Hello,

I looked at some the shadow mapping issues. The goal is, to have the functionality also for directional lights and not only for spot lights. I am not sure what changes are necessary. It seems, the projection methods of xith are used for the creation of the shadow map. Is it possible to use a parallel projection feature of xith for this? Will it be sufficient to understand the xith Java code or are changes in the shader codes necessary?

Thanks,

Michael

I should have nothing to do with the shader program. The only single method, that would need to be changed is
org.xith3d.effects.shadows.ShadowMappingFactory.setupRenderPass()

make sure the shader code supports the number of lights in your scene.  I think alot of our examples use light0 for the light source.  I will push in some multi light support soon
