I have downloaded Xith3D 9.7 and going through the tutorials tried out the code for the chapters of xin. jagatoo keyboard input (ESCAPE) doesn't seem to respond. I had to add/overide the right click onMouseButtonPressed method to close these small example programs. this is on my laptop with ubuntu 11.04.

I have hunch that this is a matter of the window contents not having focus and hence not getting the signals/events. so the question is now how do I maintain focus in this app, and all apps?
