The .odt needs much more time to load and - for the win-users (do not know about the macs) a pdf is easier to open then an odt-File.

Well, you can install OpenOffice on Win as well. And there are only source files in the repository. So the PDF is not very well suited in the SVN repository.

Isn't it sufficient, that the XIN is available online on xith.org Huh

I don't want to block anyone by denying access to the XIN PDF. But I don't see, why the PDF is better accessable when it is placed in the SVN repository.

ACK!
You are right: it should only be source in the repository.
But it was so nice to start the fist steps directly from the workbench.

Sure, but it's not too hard to load the pdf from xith.org, is it?

Thats a very good idea.
Even if eclipse do not have a browser, he can use the external one (ff, ie, Konqueror...).

Well, then I would rather more suggest to host the html-export on xith.org. But please tell me, why it is not good for you to download the PDF and start it in your favorite PDF viewer Huh Anyway hosting XIN as HTML on xith.org is a good idea.

Yes, html-exported could be exported on xith.org but isn't it great to have xith.org in Eclipse ?

Wow, the whole xith.org totally in eclipse. Sounds like huge overkill to me Shocked.

XIN in Eclipse is strange enough and I personally don't really like this idea. But it is acceptable compared with (xith.org in Eclipse).

Well, maybe I misunderstood you. If you were talking about having the dev-source-files (html, css, js) of xith.org in the SVN repository and forget joomla, then I'm strongly for it.

No, I said you could "load" the xith.org website in an Eclipse internal browser. From the internet.

I've just exported XIN to XHTML and placed a link on xith.org. Please have a look at the docs section.
