...In a perfect world this behavior tied into the firstpersonhandler (which maintains the scenegraph's view) would be very useful.

Don't worry. When Amos is ready with the simulation/forces part of XPAL, this will definitely be connected with the FPIH.

@Amos: How far is the forces part? What priority would you grant to it? I would say, having the collisions and forces part ready is higher prio than collada or other things. But just work on what you are in a mood to. I don't want to stress you. Just wanted to tell you my mind Smiley.

Absolutely.

Yeah, if you want to know, I'm in a mood to work on COLLADA Smiley And I'm happy to have some progres (making loaders is exciting). But I think I will soon take over again physic development so forces are coming soon (also).

Anyway, don't be too impatient. I had soo much school work recently and I think it's not gonna quiet for the 2 next days. But on Friday night I'm on holiday for 2 weeks so you could expect much more progress.

@Amos How long until theres a JOODE implementation of SimulationWorld? (the JoodeSimulationEngine just returns null to newWorld() calls.

Hmmm how long ? Until you decide to make one ! No just joking but tomorrow when I´m tired of COLLADA I´ll take a look at it.
But it´s not simple : I don´t really know what to abstract and what not to; e.g. CFM (Constant Force Mixing) is something specific to (JO)ODE so it has to be accessed with something like setSetting("CFM", .0001f); So...

Maybe you should have a look at jME's physics abstraction and how they did it (if they did it) and let yourself inspire Smiley.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I am not specifically in a mood to go look at jME's physic implementation, see ?

I think Amos has his own inspiration, if you know what I mean.
