Hi

As you can see, xith.org is up again. But it will be down for one or two days within the next days, since we're planning to point the domain to my webspace. This way I can directly react in case of an error.

So please apologize this further downtime.

Hi

I've been giving the Xith placeholder homepage some more links so that people aren't totally lost when they come here.

Marvin, were are we with the new site ?

I haven't gotten to work more on it. It is the next task on my list ofter the big cleanup-patch (today) and the BoundingBox computation patch.

@Amos: How can I copy/paste text content and images from the old page? would it be necessary to restore Joomla for that? Would that be difficult?

Sorry. The cleanup will take me a little longer. And I don't want to commit it half-ready. Maybe I will do the new homepage before I finish this. I will see, how far I get tomorrow.

Man, that's not easy. Yeah, it would probably require restoring Joomla, but hehe Smiley don't think I haven't tried to. I have reinstalled (ie. copied the files, as Joomla site says) from Joomla 1.5 (from the Joomla team it was no problem to update) but then there was the "Access Restricted" page... there my knowledge of PHP ends Wink
But normally all Joomla articles are in the MySQL database so if we can access it by any tool allowing us to retrieve data from it well we can retrieve the HTML code of the articles we had. See ? But that would require the help from William Denniss..

Wow great idea man !

So, Marvin if you want to retrieve anything, well begin here :
http://209.85.135.104/search?q=cache:cKomUAumHE0J:www.xith.org/pages/home.html+site:xith.org+welcome&hl=fr&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=fr&client=firefox-a

And then when you hover the link you can get the address of the children pages referenced, and then just do a google search, e.g.
Code:
cache:xith.org/pages/download.html
And you're done !!

Be sure to retrieve content before Google tries to refresh...

I have finished the new website. William Denniss will now setup the xith.org domain to point to my webspace. Therefore the site (as well as the board) will be down for a short time. Please stay tuned.

So, finally. xith.org is back online. All board content has been transferred to the new webspace. Please also risk an eye on the main website.

Enjoy Smiley.
