I know that this has been dead for a while, and I also know that you are probably doing a lot of this, BrazilianBoy, but I really like modeling . Is/Are there any Enemy/Enemies that I can help you model? EDIT: If there are, and if you have concept art, just post the art and I'll work from there.

Well, if you really like modeling, please don't hesitate to create some cool models, that others can (re-)use for their games. Examples are some cars or human/alien models or star ships/stations. The last ones would be very useful for my game, if I ever find the time to proceed working on it . Of course only, if you have time . Marvin

I have some, but I must improve them and make them more clear. Lots of ideas are only in my head. I'll post you somethng in a few days. I'm working mostly in character movement. This is the HARDEST thing I've ever done, and I know it won't become realistic But somethings are working. Actually, I stopped programming for some days, because It's summer, and I went to beach. Back to work now , Lucas.

By character movement, do you mean making the character respond to key presses, acceleration, braking, steering, that sort of thing? I may have some info that might help you. BTW, It's winter here . EDIT: Whoops, passed you up, Marvin. I didn't know that you had a game project.

Well, it is the game project, that I have been working on before I came to the Xith project. It was using Xith3D. But then I started working on Xith3D as my primary project and never proceeded to work on "Galaxy Of Evolution (GOE)" at all. Marvin

Exactly. Any info or code fragments would be appreciated, since I have no experience on character movement. Is it snowing? In Brazil it never snows Lucas.

It's cold here, but it has snowed within the last week and is due to snow within the next 3 days.
I'll get some info to you on character movement, but it will take me a while, because it was from an old project written in Java3D, and it will take some re-integration. But the code that I will post should contain information for acceleration, deceleration, braking, hard braking, and turning.

HI kukanani Here is the concept art that you asked me. I know this is simple, and I didn't do it by myself because you want to model something. There are three models. The first one is a mosquito. You can use a different color scheme, but keeping the red/yellow/black/white/gray pallete. you can make him slimmer if you want. Please represent the wings as simple rectangles, and then afeter I'll apply the wing texture to them. The second one is a simple capsule, with a lamp on the lower hemisphere, and black shiny eyes on the upper one. This is a breeze. The third one is a mouse, shaped like sonic's shoes. It is as simple as the picture. I'm sure you'll have no problem to make this. If you want, you can animate the mosquito's wings is blender. That's it Lucas.

Fun, thanks. When I said I like to model, I meant that I like to model things with concept art as a guide . It's more fun and interesting than modeling from scratch. I'll try those models...

Here is the bee, un-textured but animated. I don't know how he should attack, though, so there's no animation for that

Hi This is the final look of the bee. It doesn't look exactly the same, but I like it. Will Collada handle the transparency properly? Or will I have to use a transparent texture? Lucas. EDIT: I forgot the picture!!!

Nice looking model, a lot better than mine Yes, the COLLADA loader handles transparent textures. Also, I have fixed the COLLADA loader so that it doesn't produce errors (but you may have heard that already), so you can use it for now as a static model loader, just not for animations yet.
