Hi.
I'm developing a chessgame and now I've to manage collisions.
My chessboard is done with BoxCollideable and my models are in 3DS format.
I'd like pieces to slide on collision and, obviously, to stay on my chessboard.
Can someone suggest me how to approach this problem?
Can I use as reference a collisions management present in a first person shooter game?

Thanks.

As Marvin had suggest to me for my game i think that you can modify SlidingCollider, but not in way of FPS.
Securely Marvin or other people of Xith3D can suggest you how you can do. Smiley Wait their tips Smiley

You certainly don't want peices to slide on collision. If you throw some chess figures on a chess board, they won't slide like you would slide along a wall in an FPS game. You just don't want them to bounce like a football Wink. Please have a look at the physics testcases. They will show you how to check for collision and let them get resolved by the SimulationEngine.
