Hello,

I was wondering if Xith could run on the SWT implementation of JOGL, or is it reliant on the Swing libraries for the GUI?

thanks

It doesn't directly depend on Swing, so it would run together with SWT implementation of JOGL. Well the Swing GUI won't probably work, but it's not necessary Wink. We have a HUD system.

Amos once said something about wanting to implement that. Ask him. Or were you planning to implement this your own?

I'm actually checking this issue.

I want to include some Xith3D goodies in Eclipse (for the Debug Center).

Traksewt, do you also want to work on that, or just ask & use it ?  Cheesy

Interesting : http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.swt.snippets/src/org/eclipse/swt/snippets/Snippet209.java?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup

I'm still wondering how to integrate SWT. It requires a binary part, and it's not something besides JOGL and LWJGL, its SWT_JOGL and SWT_LWJGL, while actually we have SWING_JOGL and SWING_LWJGL..

Should we rename JOGL and LWJGL to SWING_JOGL and SWING_LWJGL ??

I think it is more JOGL_AWT than SWING_JOGL, but I will check what needs to be renamed. LWJGL doesn't use AWT or Swing.
